HintListBot

HintListBot is the fetcher behind Hint List (hintlist.app). Its user agent is HintListBot/0.1 (+https://hintlist.app/bot).

What it does

• It fetches only product page URLs that a person has saved to their own Hint List, to read the product title, image and price.
• It makes roughly one request per saved item, with a short timeout, and does not crawl links or follow sitemaps.
• It never fetches Amazon pages.
• It respects robots.txt: it follows the HintListBot group if present, otherwise the * group.

How to block it

Add this to the robots.txt of your site:

User-agent: HintListBot
Disallow: /

Items from a blocked site can still be saved to a list, but Hint List will not fetch the page to fill in details.
